The Troy Community Center offers high-speed wireless Internet throughout the building free of charge. There are plenty of places to sit down relax, surf, play games or do homework. We're offering 802.11 b & g for wireless computers with Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Instructions For Connecting To City of Troy Public Wireless Hotspots
Requirements:
- Laptop with Windows XP and Service Pack 2
- Attached wireless adapter or integrated wireless adapter
If your system does not automatically connect to the TroyPublic network please follow the instructions below.
- Click Start, then select Control Panel
- Click Network and Internet Connections. The Network and Internet Connections window opens
- Click Network Connections. The Network Connections window opens
- Right-click Wireless Network Connection
- Select View Available Wireless Networks. The Connect to Wireless Network dialog box opens
- Click Refresh Network List
- Click TroyPublic
- Click Connect
Allow a minute or two for the connection to complete.
This procedure normally only has to be done once. The next time you visit you should be automatically connected. If not please follow the directions again.
