About The Nature Center
The last day of operations for the Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center will be May 27, 2011. The staff of the Nature Center would like to thank our patrons for your support over the years. We have enjoyed offering professional naturalist led environmental education programs for you and your children for the last 30 years. Please come and enjoy this wonderful natural resource before it closes at the end of May.
The Troy Nature Society, a non-profit organization, will be offering limited programming at the Nature Center during Summer 2011. Please visit the Troy Nature Society website for more information and programs at troynaturesociety.org.
The trails at the Nature Center will remain open to the public from dawn to dusk, even after the building closes. Please visit the trails portion of our website for trail rules.
The Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center is a 100 acre nature sanctuary dedicated to educating about the natural world. Our 100 acres contains most of the "chapters" to a textbook about nature and ecology of Southeastern Michigan and is a beautiful place to recreate a more peaceful connection with the natural world. Come join us on a journey of discovery, learning and enjoyment.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create passion for, and knowledge of, the natural world in the hearts and minds of our citizens leading to increased understanding and stewardship of our natural environment.
