Parks and Public Grounds

The City of Troy Parks include a variety of amenities and a mixture of open space, woodlands, rivers, lakes and recreational facilities. You will find soccer fields, ball diamonds, disc golf courses, shore fishing, tennis courts, basketball courts, natural and paved walking pathways, play structures and swing sets, a skate park, picnic areas and pavilions. It is the goal of the Parks staff that Troy parks and facilities strive to meet the varied and growing needs of a diverse and active population.

The Parks and Recreation Department coordinates events and activities at many parks including sporting events, classes, nature hikes and special events. Some of these activities require advanced registration. Information can be found in the City's quarterly newsletter - Troy Today - which is mailed to all Troy households, or on the City of Troy Recreation website.

The Streets, Drains and Parks Division is responsible for maintenance to the City's street trees (those trees between the street and sidewalk), grounds maintenance around all municipal buildings and on landscaped medians and all maintenance in City Parks.

Reservations and permits for park shelters may be arranged through the Recreation Office located at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois, phone: 248-524-3484.
