The City continues to institute proactive public health measures to reduce the mosquito population in the local environment.

Golf Courses
Frequency:
- All areas to receive larvicide prior to May 15.
- Sub-divisions curb catch basins to be treated only once with a larvicide product that is active for 150 days.
- Larviciding of retention ponds, open drains and parks shall be done once in May and then again in thirty days.
- Excluding subdivision curb catch basins, all subject areas are to be sprayed once each of the following months: May, June, July, August, and September.
Spraying:
- Applications shall be made by ultra low volume misting at 3.5 PSI or better.
- Areas may be retreated due to adverse weather conditions within six (6) hours of application.
Larviciding:
- In subject areas, all vernal pools, detention / retention areas (engineered or naturally occurring) and any other area / object that by its nature allows the breeding of mosquito, shall receive larvicide treatments.
