The mission of the Engineering Department is to design high quality public improvements using sound engineering principles and cutting edge technology.
E. Maple Rd. Reconstruction - Adams to Eton
The City of Birmingham's major project for 2012 will cause some traffic disruption on the SW corner of Troy. The start date is approx. June 1 and it will continue for about four months. See map for specifics. Two lanes of traffic will remain open at all times, except on paving days, when they will need to go down to one lane, with flag control, to give the paving machine enough room to get through. Left turns will be required on to South Eton at times, which will obviously cause backups for westbound traffic, and there will also be periods when Left turns are not allowed on Adams (for westbound).
