Special Teams

Oakland County Hazmat Team

Troy has Firefighters and Police Officers assigned to the Oakland County Hazmat Team. This Team, comprised of 52 members from 32 Police, Fire and Public Safety Departments, is responsible for responding to and mitigating hazardous materials incidents.

Oakland Regional Response Team (RRT)

Troy houses one of the 16 Regional Response Teams in Michigan. These Teams, designated by the Michigan State Police, are trained and equipped to respons to hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction (WMD) incidents. The Team consists of 56 personnel from Police and Fire Agencies throughout Oakland County.

Communications Support Team (CST)

Troy houses the Regional Communications Support Team. This Team consists of 20 Public Safety Personnel from various Oakland & County Departments. These personnel, equipped with the field Communications Unit (FCU) and the Tactical Communications Trailer, respond to incidents and preplanned events to assist in radio, data and video communications.
